Perfect Your Training

The Lit Hangboard comes with a set of holds designed specifically to maximize utility.

Crimp flip

The crimps are double sided with a different depth edge just a spin away.

Grab the slopers on the top for a nice palm sized sphere or stick your fingers into the 35mm pocket on the bottom.

The pinches can be rotated to any angle and have both an 80mm and 100mm side.

Even the simple jugs can be flipped upside down to give a sloping ledge!

If you need even more flexibility, the holds can be completely rearranged or swapped out for different ones like our new pockets. The above video shows the hold selector used by the app's workout builder.

Whenever you want to switch things up, the hex wrench for the bolts is conveniently attached to the side of the hangboard with magnets.

Brush Magnets

In fact, both sides of the hangboard have embedded magnets. One side for the wrench, and one for the included brush!

Workout Builder

The accompanying app, has a powerful workout builder to allowing you to customize your workouts to exactly what they need to be.

Force Target

Say goodbye to annoying pulley setups! With the Lit Hangboard you can simply specify a target force for your hangs. During the exercise, the app shows you a graph like the one above of the force you are producing along with the target. The hangboard itself also changes colors from red, to green, to blue to indicate if you are below, at, or above the target respectively.

Test Your Performance

To help you figure out if your training is working and to identify weak points, the Lit Hangboard is capable of measuring various fitness metrics.

The simplest test you can perform is the static force test. This test measures how much you can pull with each hand over a 10 second period on a 20mm crimp using a half crimp grip. This is a good indicator of your maximum strength.

A related test is the critical strength test. This test is the same as the static force test except instead of a one-off pull you perform 7 second on, 3 second off, repeaters for 4 minutes with each hand. This test shows how the maximum force you can produce drops off over time. It is a good indicator of your power endurance.

Speaking of power, the dyno test measures just that. This test measures the peak power your arms produce as well as the total height of your dyno. This is a good indicator of your power needed for those big dynamic moves.

Contact strength test

Being able to throw yourself 15 feet up the rock face isn't helpful if you aren't able to stick the dyno. This is where the contact strength test comes into play. This test measures the rate of force developed (or RFD) during the first 200ms (1/5th of a second) of contact with a 20mm crimp. This is possible with the Lit Hangboard's fast force sampling rate of 320 times per second. This is a good indicator of how quickly you are able to grab a hold.

Monitor Your Progress

Force Progress Graph

All the tests you perform are automatically saved making tracking your progress as easy as it gets. No more spreadsheets trying to keep everything organized. It is organized by default.

Weight Graph

The Lit Hangboard can also act as a smart scale, allowing you to easily track trends in your weight over time. These measurements also allow you to monitor your results in terms of % body weight.
